Covid 19

          Re: COVID-19

         Risk assessment

         As at 4th January 2022

Visiting ‘Simply Stitch’ during the current Coronavirus………what does it mean?

You will no doubt have been following the latest government information regarding the Coronavirus and in particular the Omicron variant.

It is a difficult balancing act to remain safe while continuing with day-to-day life and I am sure that you will support the following measures in order to protect everyone and minimise the risk.

This will be re-assessed on an ongoing basis should government instructions change in the coming weeks or months

What is expected from you when attending a class or workshop…..

  1. Do NOT attend if you feel unwell or feel you may have Covid-19 related symptoms

  2. I request that you take a lateral flow test and only attend if the result is negative

  3. Please remain seated wherever possible

  4. Face coverings are optional while seated at your table but are required if you are moving around where social distancing is more difficult

What is expected when visiting the shop….

  1. The ‘shop’ will be open to customers with numbers restricted at any one time and facemasks required

What you can expect from me…..

  1. I too will take a lateral flow test each day

  2. Student numbers are a maximum of 12 to allow for one person per table only

  3. Mini irons and boards are available on each individual table to avoid using the main ironing board wherever possible. These will be cleaned after each workshop, as will the tables etc.

  4. Hand sanitizers are available both in the entrance area and inside the studio must be used

Anti-bacterial wipes are also available for use throughout

The windows will be opened periodically to allow for some ventilation

Tutor demonstrations have been revised. Wherever possible the use of a flip chart will be used, allowing you to remain seated. If a closer demonstration of technique is required, this will be done either on a one-one basis or with smaller groups and then repeated.

The tutor will wear a face guard and students will be required to wear a face mask on these occasions

Additionally…..

  1. I strongly recommend that where students require to book accommodation, this is done with the option to cancel

These are difficult times and we all have to make decisions that are right for us but please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns.

I know that everyone will understand the need to respect the current requirements that have been put in place to minimise the risk and support the continuation of my business

Thank you for your support

Nicola
