Westalee Ruler -

6 month 'Jewel Quilt' as you go Course with

Angela Attwood

Please note, this course is NOT suitable for absolute beginners of Westalee Ruler work and will not cover basic machine set up for ruler work. You should be comfortable fitting the Ruler Foot to your machine and able to stitch basic straight lines and curves as a minimum requirement. Some familiarity with the Sampler Set rulers would be useful (see 3 day July course above)

Angela has designed this course and quilt to truly showcase ruler work quilting. Her bespoke design is based entirely around the 6 rulers of the Sampler Set 1 and the Starter Ruler, however, there will be areas for you to add other templates in your collection or personalise the design along the way. You may choose to make either a 70 inch square quilt or a smaller 50 inch (with less homework, sizes approximate). You will also learn how to construct your quilt by joining smaller quilted sections together in a ‘quilt as you go’ method.

You will be guided through 1-2 sections and patterns per month and be expected to stitch the required repeats of these as homework between each class. I will be on hand to help you make your own design choices throughout the process.
